Serian Raft Safari 2026 marks an exciting new chapter as the event officially joins the Borneo Raft Safari series for the very first time. Bringing together adventure, tradition and community spirit, the event showcases the beauty of Serian's river landscape while preserving the rich heritage of bamboo rafting in Sarawak.
Scheduled to take place on 26 September 2026, the race will challenge participants to navigate the scenic Batang Kayan River, beginning at Kampung Tema Mawang, Tebedu and finishing at Kampung Tebakang Dayak. The river offers a unique combination of natural beauty, technical river sections, and endurance, providing an unforgettable experience for both seasoned rafters and first-time competitors.
As part of the Borneo Raft Safari calendar, Serian Raft Safari 2026 contributes valuable championship points, strengthening the mission of developing bamboo raft racing into a premier eco-adventure sport across Borneo while promoting sustainable tourism and community participation.
This year's edition features a total prize pool of RM17,600, making it one of the most rewarding bamboo raft races in the region.
